Privacy Policy

The short version: Tinnitus Notch keeps your settings (including your tinnitus pitch) on your device and never sends them anywhere. The only information that leaves your device is what's needed to manage your subscription, handled by RevenueCat and Google Play. There are no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and no user accounts.

This policy explains how the Tinnitus Notch mobile app ("the app", "we") handles information. The app is provided by Jure Sršen (the "data controller"). Questions: jure-publishing@agentmail.to.

Information stored only on your device

The app stores the following locally, using your device's standard app storage. It is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data:

Your matched tinnitus frequency (your "profile").
App preferences (selected sound, volume, sleep timer).
Whether you've accepted the disclaimer and seen onboarding, plus simple counters used to decide when to show the optional "rate this app" prompt.

Information processed by third parties

To offer subscriptions, the app uses these services. We only ever use this to provide, restore, and manage your subscription:

RevenueCat — when you view or buy a subscription, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier, your purchase/subscription status, and basic device and platform information. It does not receive your name or email. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Google Play Billing — Google processes any payment. We never see or store your payment details. See Google's privacy policy.
In-app review — the optional rating prompt is shown and handled entirely by Google Play; we receive no personal information from it.

What we do not do

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or measurement SDKs, no trackers, and no login or user accounts. We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Legal basis & your rights (GDPR/EEA)

Where the GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing subscription data is performance of the subscription contract and our legitimate interest in operating the app. You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data and to object to processing. Most data lives on your device — you can erase it any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. For subscription records held by RevenueCat or Google, contact us at the email above and we will assist, or contact those providers directly.

Data retention & international processing

On-device data is kept until you remove it. Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat and Google under their own policies and may be processed on servers outside your country, including outside the EEA, under appropriate safeguards.

Children

Tinnitus Notch is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be reflected in the app or here.

Tinnitus Notch is a relaxation and wellbeing tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition. Please consult a doctor or audiologist about tinnitus.
